At the expansive KSCA Alur stadium, 26 km from the city centre, the ground staff woke up to a heavy downpour on June 6, hours before three grounds at the facility were to host the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals. About 20 kms away from Alur, at the Just Cricket ground in Rajanukunte – the venue for the fourth quarterfinal match -- the scene was no different.
